"Non-Personal Information" or "NPI" is information that is not personally identifiable to you and we automatically collect when you access our Service.
"Personally Identifiable Information” or “PII” is non-public information that is personally identifiable to you and obtained by us in connection with the provision of the services that we offer to our clients. PII may include information such as your name, business name, address, country of origin, phone number, email address, current location, and other related information that you provide to us or that we obtain about you.
Generally, you control the amount of information you provide to The Crawfish App when you use our services. If you are just visiting our Site to find out more about our products and services, you are not asked for any PII and we only collect NPI. On the other hand, if you use our app, you may provide PII in connection with the account registration process and the use of our services, including location services. Our collection and use of any information you provide to us at the time of registration or while using our services will not be shared with any companies, organizations, or individuals. The Crawfish App may transmit logged NPI diagnostic data, such as crash reports, from time to time to aid in the resolution of any software or hardware issues, this data does not contain any personal or identifying information.
We collect information in the following ways:
- Location Information
When using the app, the user may elect to “use current location” as a search tool for locating the nearest vendors. Upon using the location-enabled service, we may collect and process information about the users actual location, including GPS signals transmitted by a mobile device.
- Automatic Information
When you visit our Website, we automatically receive certain types of NPI. This can include the URL of the website from which you entered our Website. We also receive the website to which you’re headed when you leave our Website. We also receive the IP address of your computer/proxy server that you use to access the Internet, your Internet service provider name, web browser type, and computer operating system. We use all of this information to analyze trends among our users to help improve our Website and services.
- Electronic Communications
Email messages are not considered secure communications; that is, when transmitted, they may be open to others being able to intercept the contents of such messages as they travel across the Internet and computer networks. As such, please use care in what information you place in emails you send to us. The Crawfish App is not liable for any disclosures of such information.
The Crawfish App may use the PII that you provide as follows:
- Service Communications
When The Crawfish App communicates with you about our services, we may use the email address you provided on your Account. We will send you emails/messages to notify you of information changes as well as to contact you about other service-related items such as changes to our services. Finally, we may also send you emails/messages with promotional information about The Crawfish App or our affiliates, unless you have opted out of receiving such information. You can opt-out of promotional messages at any time by sending an e-mail request.
- Improving Our Service
We use the PII that you provide to help improve our services to you.
- Sharing Information with Affiliates and Other Third Parties
The Crawfish App does not sell, rent, or otherwise provide PII to third parties for marketing purposes. We may provide PII to affiliates that provide services to The Crawfish App with regards to our services (i.e. website and cloud hosting companies, etc.); such affiliates will only receive information necessary to provide the respective services.
As mentioned above, The Crawfish App allows vendor review where users share their opinions with regards to the vendors and their products. Such reviews may include PII, but only as voluntarily shared by such users.
- Legally Required Releases of Information
The Crawfish App may have need to disclose your or your customer’s PII, if such disclosure is (a) required by subpoena, law, or other legal process; (b) necessary to assist law enforcement officials or government enforcement agencies; (c) necessary to investigate violations of or otherwise enforce our legal rights; (d) necessary to protect us from legal action or claims from third parties including you and/or other clients; and/or (e) necessary to protect the legal rights, personal/real property, or personal safety of The Crawfish App, our clients, employees, and affiliates.
- Disclosures to Successors
If The Crawfish App were acquired by another entity that entity would become responsible for providing the services to you and we would transfer NPI and PII to that entity.
You may change or remove PII about yourself submitting an email request for such removal.
Even though our service is not designed for use by anyone under the age of 18 (“Child”), we realize that a Child may attempt to access our service or that we may unknowingly receive customer information for a Child. If you are parent or legal guardian who suspects their Child has used our service or otherwise had their information transmitted through our service, please contact us immediately to remove your Child’s information. We will ask you to provide identification to confirm that you are indeed the Child’s parent or legal guardian.
You may see links to other websites when using our service. The Crawfish App has no control of these websites which will likely have their own privacy policies and standards to which you must agree in order to use these websites. We have no responsibility for these websites and provide links to these websites solely for your convenience. You acknowledge that your use and access of these websites is solely at your own risk. It is your responsibility to check the privacy policies and other legal documents of these websites to see how they treat your personal information.
The Crawfish App complies with international laws regarding the sending of SPAM. You can always opt out of receipt of further email correspondence from The Crawfish App. We agree that we will not sell, rent, or trade your email address to any unaffiliated third-party. It is very important that you understand that email is not considered a secure form of communication. As such, please take care in what you disclose in any email that you send to us.
The Crawfish App uses industry standard encryption and authentication tools to protect PII. If you are using our cloud-based features, the third party service providers such as Amazon or Google are also responsible for the necessary security to protect information placed on their servers. When you use our service, your data is encrypted and other industry standard technologies, such as encryption software, routers and firewalls, are used to protect your information. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the Internet, we cannot guarantee that PII is completely protected. Furthermore, we cannot guarantee or warranty the privacy protections of third parties such as Amazon or Google. We strongly urge you to protect any password you may have for our services and not share it with anyone. You should always log out of our service when not in use, especially if you are sharing a computer with someone else or are using a public computer.
